We want to know just how big of an asset you are! Include the most impressive achievements from all of your past roles on your resume – not just a generic job description. Worked on a big client? Saved the company tons of money? We want to hear about it!
EXPAND YOUR NETWORK
Recruiters can help you find opportunities you might not normally come across. You can also expand your network by connecting with people who share similar interests or career paths; talking to employees of companies you are interested in partnering with; and participating in Slack channels and Meet Up groups.
SAY “HELLO”
If you have recruiters reaching out to you about new opportunities, take the time to thank them for their interest. Even if you’re not currently looking, you never know when you’ll be on the hunt for your next opportunity.

There are more and more virtual job fairs happening now, so take advantage of these opportunities! Groups like Women in Technology and Handshake hold virtual job fairs, and you can search sites like Eventbrite and Dice for online career fairs.
UTILIZE SOCIAL MEDIA
If you’re not on LinkedIn, you’re not accessing hundreds of potential job opportunities and employers. Even sites like Facebook have a job search function. Create a professional account on Instagram and create relevant content to what you do – photos and videos of you working, advice you have about tech subjects, etc. Follow companies you want to work for on social sites and interact with them. Engagement is the key!
